WHAT’S IN THE “PRODUCER ONLY” AREA?
The “Producer Only” area gives you access to:
- Contact information for the winner and finalists of the contest.
- A writing sample (a 2 - 5 page scene) from each of the winners.
- Loglines of the screenplay the writing samples came from — listed under genre categories.
- Access to some of the top ProSeries Alumni screenwriters who acted as contest judges.
Just as important, we’re willing to send specific requests from producers who need a script written or who are looking for a high quality screenplay. We’ll help you craft the request to pinpoint exactly what you need and that request will ONLY be sent to qualified writers (contest finalists and top ProSeries Alumni writers).
WRITING SAMPLES COME FROM:
FINALISTS/WINNER: These writers have emerged as the top writers in this contest. Additionally, they’ve been through a basic Writing Assignment class that gives them an understanding of the process of doing assignments.
JUDGES: These writers have been through an Advanced Writing Assignment program, graduated the ProSeries (6-month professional level class), and are active in our Quality Elevation Process.
You can contact the writers if you want to request their script or if you would like to work with them on a writing assignment — either on spec or paid.
PRODUCER REQUIREMENTS
Our objective is to protect both the producer’s right to privacy and the contest winner and finalists materials. So we have a few requirements to make sure both parties can interact and do business if you choose.
1. To enter the Producer Only area, you need producer or director credits on IMDb.com for either a feature film or for producing/directing a scripted TV show.
2. Anyone who has been deemed a producer by entering the “Producer Only” area can’t be an entrant in the contest.
3. You will be asked for basic contact info. That info will not be given to anyone for any reason.
4. When contacting a writer by either email or phone, you need to identify yourself. No anonymous script requests.
